     My daughter, wife, and I earned our diplomas during the COVID19 pandemic.  Graduating during this  historic  upheaval  had brought us both sorrow and joy. Sorrow because we felt we were short-changed of the recognitions we deserved. We did not have the joyous ceremonies, public accolades, and after-graduation get-together with friends and families to celebrate with us.       However, we also felt joy because we successfully completed our degrees after years of hard work and many sacrifices. We also felt double-successes because we survived the demands of school and the hardships brought by the pandemic at the same time. DNP Textbooks, Fall 2016 In one of my blogs , my wife gave a glimpse of the work of a primary care nurse practitioner (NP). The degree requirement to become one is either a master's or doctorate in nurse practitioner.
